He is currently the dean of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine of Zhengzhou University and director of the Institute of Medical Microecology and Clinical Nutrition of Zhengzhou University, the member of the American Society of Gastroenterology, the American Microbiology Society and the memer of Digestive Disease Chapter of the Chinese Medical Association, the deputy chairman of the Microecology Group of Digestive Disease Chapter of the Chinese Medical Association, the member of the H. pylori Expert Group of the Digestive Committee of Chinese Medical Association, the member of the Standing Committee of Microecology Branch of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine and the head of the Digestion and Nutrition Group, and the deputy Secretary General of Chinese Clinical Nutrition Alliance. 

He ever studied in Holland, Singapore and Canada for 7 years. He was a visiting scholar of Holland Free University, got Ph.D. degree in National University of Singapore, and was a postdoctoral fellow of University of Toronto, Canada. He has published more than 120 academic papers, of which more than 52 were published in SCI journals. He is the member of the Editorial Committee of the Gastroenterology (Chinese Edition), the Chinese Journal of Digestion and the Chinese Journal of Microecology, and the member of the Editorial Committee of the Medical Microecology (First Edition). He won the second-class prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education, 2 items of the second-class prize of Science and Technology Progress Award in Henan Province. He hosts 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Support Plan of “12th Five-Year” Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology, 1 projct of National 973 Pre-special Research and 2 projects of Scientific Research Program of the Ministry of Health.
